LEVELING

(1) Find two points that are the same on each upper door sill of the left and right cabin doors. (2) Put a level in position across these points. NOTE: Out-of-level tolerance for wing tips is three inches total. (3) Make a note of the airplane's lateral position. (4) If applicable, put jacks in position at the wings and tail jacking points. (a) Adjust the wing jacks as required to get the necessary lateral position. Longitudinal Leveling. Lifting Procedure

TTP B1-L1 ATA07 Cessna 172 B2-L1 Cessna 172 airplane may be lifted with a hoist of two-ton capacity attached by rings , which are optional  equipment installed by Service Kit, or by means of suitable slings.      Front sling should be hooked to  each upper engine mount, and the aft sling should be positioned around the fuselage at the first bulkhead  forward of the leading edge of the stabilizer. If the optional hoisting rings are used, a minimum cable  length of 60 inches for each cable is required to prevent bending of the eyebolt-type hoisting rings.  If  desired, a spreader jig may be fabricated to apply vertical force to the eyebolts PTP   Cessna 172 B1 LOC B2 LOC
